Reports to: Service Delivery Manager
Location: Thornaby HQ and client sites across the North East
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Role purpose
To deliver high quality second and third line support across our managed IT client base, resolving issues, delivering projects, and keeping our clients secure and running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Provide second and third line technical support, both remotely and on site.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Entra ID, networking, firewalls and backups.
- Deliver projects including migrations, installs, upgrades and new client onboarding.
- Maintain security standards in line with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001.
- Keep documentation and ticket records accurate and up to date.
- Communicate clearly with non technical clients and deliver excellent customer service.
- Mentor and support our IT apprentices and junior team members.
Essential skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience in an MSP or similar multi client IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and firewalls.
- Experience with backup, antivirus or EDR, and remote monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA or Cisco).
- Azure and Entra ID, plus Intune experience.
- A good working knowledge of cyber security.
