Reports to: Field Service Manager
Location: Field based across the North East, from our Thornaby HQ
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Role purpose
To install, maintain and repair multifunction printers and copiers across our client base, delivering excellent service and keeping our clients' print running with minimal downtime.
Key responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair multifunction devices and printers at client sites.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software faults, resolving them first time wherever possible.
- Install and configure new devices, including network, print queue and scan to email or folder setup.
- Manage your van stock of consumables and parts efficiently.
- Build strong client relationships and represent Mastercopy professionally on every visit.
- Complete service records and update our systems accurately.
- Support the print team with fleet audits and meter readings.
Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience as a copier, MFD or field service engineer.
- Strong mechanical and electromechanical fault finding skills.
- Knowledge of major manufacturers such as Konica Minolta, HP, Kyocera, Ricoh, Sharp or Develop.
- A good understanding of networking and print and scan configuration.
- Customer focused, self managing and reliable.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Manufacturer accreditations.
- Experience with print management software such as PaperCut, and client portal tools.
