Leasing, toner, servicing and same-day repair, from a Teesside supplier trading since 1989
Mastercopy provides managed print services across the North East from our base in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees. One monthly cost covers the devices, automatic toner, servicing, parts and labour, with our own engineers attending on site the same day. We have done this for regional businesses since 1989.
Most print suppliers covering this region are either national operations running a route from elsewhere, or small local firms without the systems to monitor a fleet properly. We are a regional company with national-standard infrastructure behind it, which is an unusual combination and the reason most of our clients have stayed for decades.
The point of managed print is that printing stops being a series of separate problems. Instead of ordering toner, chasing repairs and guessing at cost, you get:
Repairs are where being local stops being a slogan. Our engineers work out of Thornaby, so Teesside sites see them quickly and the rest of the North East is comfortably inside our same-day on-site standard. Because every managed device reports its own status, a large share of faults are diagnosed remotely, and in many cases the part is already on its way before anyone rings.
Under a managed print or leasing agreement, parts, labour and call-outs are included. There is no debate about whether a visit is chargeable, which also means there is no incentive for us to leave an ageing device limping along. If you want to understand what a breakdown really costs, we set the arithmetic out in the real cost of printer downtime.
Leasing and managed print are available across the region. These pages cover each area in detail:
Almost nobody knows what their printing costs until it is measured, which is why we start with a free print audit: what you have, what it prints, what it costs per page, and where the waste is. The report is yours whatever you decide afterwards. If you are weighing up devices, our guides on A3 versus A4 and what leasing costs are a sensible starting point, and how to choose a managed print provider sets out what to ask any supplier, including us.
The whole region: Teesside and the Tees Valley, including Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Thornaby, Billingham, Hartlepool and Darlington; Tyne and Wear, including Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland; and County Durham, including Durham city and the surrounding towns. Our base is Randol House in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees.
Yes. Our own engineers service and repair the devices we supply, and parts, labour and call-outs are included in managed print and leasing agreements rather than billed separately. Devices are monitored remotely, so many faults are diagnosed before they are reported, and on-site attendance is same-day.
Same-day on-site attendance is our standard nationwide, and across the North East our engineers are local, working from Thornaby, so attendance is usually quicker still. Most issues are resolved remotely first through fleet monitoring.
Managed print is charged per page, with mono and colour rates agreed in writing, covering devices, toner, parts, labour and call-outs. What you pay depends on volumes, colour usage and the devices you need. A free print audit measures what you currently print so the quote reflects reality rather than a guess.
Often, yes. Existing devices can frequently be brought under management, with monitoring, toner and servicing included, and we will only recommend replacing a device where the numbers or its reliability justify it. The print audit shows which is which.
Yes. Multi-site clients run every location on one agreement, one invoice and one account manager, with reporting broken down per site so you can compare a Newcastle office against a Teesside depot.
